The overall aim of the Fighter Weapons Instructor Course is to develop weapons and tactics experts capable of instructing, refining, and developing tactical capabilities within their respective units. The syllabus is tailored to the customer’s operational requirements following an initial planning meeting.
Course Subjects
As an overview, the course will include at least the following subjects:
- Air-to-Air operations.
- Air-to-Ground operations.
- Offensive Counter Air (OCA).
- Defensive Counter Air (DCA).
- Operational mission planning and tactical employment within complex air operations.
Training Using Tactical Aircraft Operations
The training may be conducted in the client’s country and should include at least the following subjects:
- An extensive ground school phase covering tactical subjects such as Air-to-Air, Air-to-Ground, Offensive Counter Air (OCA), and Defensive Counter Air (DCA).
- Practical flying exercises designed to apply the knowledge gained during the academic phase.
- Mission planning, briefing, execution, and structured debriefing to reinforce tactical understanding.
- Participation in coordinated tactical missions culminating in a Combined Air Operation (COMAO) phase.
