The course provides a thorough theoretical and practical grounding for military personnel involved in both airborne and ground military capabilities. Attending individuals will develop an understanding of the Electromagnetic Spectrum and how it can be exploited to enhance the operational capabilities of aircraft and contribute significantly to success in their battlespace.

Course Subjects

As an overview, the course will include at least the following subjects:

  • Fundamentals of Electronic Warfare relevant to both airborne and ground military capabilities.
  • Principles associated with understanding and exploiting the Electromagnetic Spectrum.
  • Operational considerations for enhancing the operational capabilities of aircraft through Electronic Warfare.
  • Theoretical knowledge supporting the application of Electronic Warfare in Joint Air Warfare.

Training Using Electronic Warfare Concepts

The training may include at least the following elements:

  • Theoretical lectures providing foundational knowledge of Electronic Warfare concepts and applications.
  • Simulated mission scenarios designed to apply Electronic Warfare concepts in practical operational contexts.
  • Individual or mixed/combined air operations within simulated environments.
  • The course is suitable for fixed wing and rotary wing Commanders as well as Program Managers and is continuously updated to reflect advances in technology and the miniaturization of components and systems.
