RMAF Graduation FWIC 2022

Six outstanding Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) candidates have graduated from the Fighter Weapons Instructor Course offered by ITTC. The course is made of three phases: ground school and simulation phases in Canada and then a combined air operation stage in Malaysia.

ITTC Instructors Brendan “Darcee” Pierce, Duane “Sugar” Lecaine and Dave Lohse were in Malaysia to congratulate these elite fighter pilots that will instruct and develop unit capabilities in current and future battlespaces.  This course marks a 20 year relationship with ITPS and the RMAF with the initial course having kicked off in 2002 with a five week groundschool at Canadian Forced Base Cold Lake, ITPS’s base of operations at the time under an agreement with the Canadian Department of National Defense. The following eleven weeks of training exercises took place in Malaysia. The success of this initial course led to further training In 2007, 2012, 2019, 2020 and 2022 with ITPS’s offering also extending to Fighter Lead-In Training in Canada.
